This year’s Honda Hoot-goers may have noticed something
special in their motorcycle magazines — a striking, personally signed
poster-style illustration promoting the 14th Annual Honda Hoot in Knoxville,
Tennessee.
“We wanted to create a one-of-a-kind look that inspired
riders across America to come to the Hoot and enjoy the great roads and
camaraderie,” says HRCA and Hoot Manager Bill Savino. So, Honda turned to
renowned graphic artist, Michael Schwab, who has created unique designs for the
U.S. National Parks Service, Amtrak and Robert Redford, to name a few.
Known for images that are simple, bold and dramatic in
nature, Schwab had a special inspiration for the 2007 Honda Hoot design. “I
tapped into the many fond memories I have of weekend rides with my dad when I
was a kid back in Oklahoma. What I wanted to convey is not only the thrill of
riding, but also the natural beauty of the Hoot location.”
Savino agrees. “We want our loyal attendees to instantly
recognize the attraction of the Hoot and to attract new riders at the same
time. Michael’s design does that perfectly.”
